When terrorism is at the backdrop of the film, music needs to be composed keeping in mind the very fact. Karan Johar for the very first time tried his hand in terrorism and he has kept the music limited and of good quality. After the musical success of films like ‘Fashion’ and ‘Wake Up Sid’, composer Salim-Sulaiman has gone a long way and they have evolved as an eminent music composer. Kurbaan is a difficult theme as the music needs to be a combination of love and terror. Keeping a balance of the two, the music of Kurbaan has been composed and the outcome seems to be fabulous till now.

The expectation from the film is sky-high as the real life couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are playing the pivotal role. The promo of the film has done its work and now the audience is looking forward to the movie. Coming to the music, the music of ‘Kurbaan’ has all the ingredients of a perfect music. Salim-Sulaiman’s music and Niranjan Iyengar’s lyrics has done the charisma. Singers like Sukhwinder Singh, Kailash Kher, Marianne D’Cruz Aiman, Salim Merchant, Vishal Dadlani, Sonu Niigaam, Shruti Pathak and Shreya Ghoshal have landed their magical vocals.
The album opens with Shukran Allah Wal-hamdulillah. If you like the song Subhan Allah from Fanaa then you will surely like Shukran Allah, which has a Sufi touch. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghosal are in their romantic best and they have really put soul to the song. Salim caught the Arabic lines and the song was beautifully composed and sung. The music arrangements are tremendous and one would feel the essence of the song.
