Many of you may be aware of this cool little art project, but I wanted to share it here just in case you haven’t heard.  The very cool people over at IndieFixx are offering monthly downloads of free artwork just to bring a smile to your face.

I recently picked up eight empty picture frames that are begging for some cool prints.  I’m really looking forward to sitting down and choosing which pieces will take up residence on my walls.  I’ll be posting pictures of the arrangement once they’re finally up.

The anticipation is driving me bananas!  The movie is out, yet so far away.  Friends, I can read the book all I like, but it’s just not the same.  When will I be able to get my eye balls on this one?!

Adding to My Art Collection

A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to be the winning bidder on one of Tascha Parkinson’s beautiful folk paintings.  As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before, I adore her work so I was ecstatic to get a piece (and, I have to brag – at a FAN-freaking-TASTIC price!).

Here she is hanging on my wall.  It’s not the greatest spot in the world, but it’s somewhere that I always see it.

Another piece, a print, that I picked up recently on Etsy is from a wonderful artist working under the name SpeckledWords.  It’s Project Runway time and she had this totally inspiring Tim Gunn sketch/digital art.  I love it.  I had this vintage frame that I really wanted to use, but it wasn’t a perfect fit.  I’ve back the picture with a colourful map for now.  When I get a chance I’ll get it a proper insert thing.
